A San Francisco Bay Area native, Charlotte has had a love affair with animals, horses in particular, as long as she can remember. Riding both hunter-jumpers and western pleasure in her youth, she always knew she wanted a career with horses. As a young adult, she worked professionally with Arabians, and on the backstretch at the track before working toward her college degree and teaching certification.
In 2008, Charlotte trained in Equine Assisted Learning and Healing and ran successful adult and youth programs from her base in Sebastopol, California. Gentling and training wild mustangs during this time was, in her words, "the greatest pleasure and honor of my life." She authored a book on the topic of horse-human relationships, The Breath of the Horse: Reflections on Nature, Presence and Partnership in 2013.
That same year, she relocated to Southern Oregon and became involved once again in the racing industry as Public Relations Director and Digital Marketing Manager for Grants Pass Downs and the Southern Oregon Horse Racing Association. She works closely with both horsemen and fans to create a fun, safe and inviting experience for all during each race season. Thoroughbred Aftercare continues to be Charlotte's pet project.
Full Circle Consulting is a "tip of the hat" to Charlotte's beginning as "mucker of stalls" and racetrack groom, to her present career - putting her lifetime of skills in teaching and marketing to work for the equestrian community she loves. Indeed, it has been a full circle journey.
